I am a birder and photographer residing in Midcoast Maine. Although I am a biologist by trade, it's taken me some time to consider myself a birder, let alone a photographer. I never meant to take on either of these labels, but life has a funny way of nudging you in directions that you don't expect, opening doors you didn't realize were there. One thing has led to another, and I now find myself on a quest to promote bird conservation and to foster appreciation for the natural world, one photo at a time. I invite you to join me on this journey.
Most of my photos are taken in Maine, or elsewhere in New England. However, I have been fortunate to travel to and bird in other countries, including France (my homeland) and Australia. There's nothing quite like waking up in a new place where all of the birds are lifers and you get to experience the thrill of being a novice birder all over again.
Please note that I capture all of my photos with a professional, full-frame DSLR camera, which results in exceptionally high resolution and quality. Unfortunately, my current website platform does not always clearly depict this high quality because of file size limitations. If you are interested in a photo and would like to see it in full quality, please reach out and I will be happy to share with you a full size sample.
